USA SHADE Waterproof Brochure
Challenge
The USA SHADE team needed a brochure which showcased USA SHADE’s waterproof projects, as well as allowed architects and other clients to see and feel the available waterproof materials. With no copy, no visual assets, and no template to follow the challenge was to create all visual and written collateral for a print piece to be used with key clients.
Design
It was important for clients to be able to see through the fabric, so I worked closely with the printer to develop sample windows on the back cover of the brochure, so as soon as the printed piece is picked up the samples can be felt, and then held up to the light by the back cover.
At the outset of the project, it was identified that project photography for the waterproof line was limited. I was able to visit several project sites, take final project photos, to ensure the brochure had ample photography of final project to show examples of fabric applications.
Copy was distilled from a series of technical engineering presentations, as well as listening to sales’ needs, to create a technically correct, but highly approachable piece of marketing material.

This was the behind the scenes technical mockup originally developed with the printer, to ensure it met their technical specs as well as our needs.
Photography provided for the project included shooting three projects in a timely mamner: the FC Dallas Practice Field, the Mueller Park Amphitheater, and a Target Drive Up.
